Born in Oslo 18 august 1981. After a childhood with strong ties to the arts, I decided in 2002 to start my art education at Oslo Drawing and painting school. I was first introduced to life drawing and oil painting. Oil painting on canvas was immediately interesting to me and I wanted to learn more about its history. The need for a more classically-oriented art education was larger, and had then look abroad to achieve this. In 2004 I discovered the school The Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. The school is a modernization of academic residency training from 1900 -'s. With drawing as the foundation for both painting and sculpture. In 2005 I got a place on the sculpture bar, completed three year diploma in sculplture 2008. Came back the same year to work more with painting and in 2010 I was invited back as instructor in drawing. With my sculptures, I work first in clay, then cast in bronze. My goal is simple: I want to create something beautiful using craft traditions with humans and nature as models.
